OUR HISTORY AND FUTURE
2005-2013
In 2005, 17 Informatics ITB students formed Sangkuriang Studio and developed "Nusantara Online," Indonesia's first 3D Massive Multiplayer Online Game, which gained significant attention and won the Indonesia ICT Awards. In 2008, we created "Aksara," an app to help illiterate people learn to read, write and count, which earned recognition from President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Bill Gates at a Presidential Lecture. In 2010, we incorporated as PT Sangkuriang Internasional, set up an office in Bandung and identified a gap in Indonesian IT products for the Finance/Banking sector. We established a subsidiary, PT Data Aksara Sangkuriang, to address this opportunity.
2013-2021
We established PT Data Aksara Sangkuriang as a dedicated subsidiary, which thrived and was valued at over Rp. 20 billion by a capital investment company in 2014. Recognizing Jakarta role as Indonesia economic hub, we expanded by opening a Commercial Office in Tebet, Jakarta Selatan. In recent years, we focused on solidifying our company’s foundation. We developed a strong portfolio of products, built a team of experts and leveraged advanced technologies. Our strategy to boost sales through various channels, including door-to-door, exhibitions and tenders, proved successful. Since 2015, our revenue has consistently exceeded US $1 million and our products and services are now used by over 100 clients across government, public, private and non-profit sectors.
2021-2029
We have successfully secured major government tenders in recent years. This year, we are focusing on software development and strategic initiatives such as enhancing technology infrastructure. In the future, we will concentrate on optimizing system integration to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of defense solutions. Our goal is to ensure seamless integration with existing national defense systems, refine processes and provide strong support for a smooth transition. This will enhance data accuracy, streamline operations and strengthen our position as a leader in IT solutions.
